Welcome to the 2026 Krewe of Amalee DeLand Mardi Gras Dog Parade & Festival. We are excited for this year’s event, and the weather is expected to be 73° at 11:00 AM. Please use this event link for any updates or on our website under "Upcoming Events".
Please review the important parade day details below:
Staging Area Entry: Enter from Plymouth Avenue and Woodland Boulevard.
Parade Position: We are #85. The parade begins at 11:00 AM.
Shirt/Bandana Pickup (Before Event):
Thursday or Friday evening at my house in Altamonte Springs, or
Friday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at my job in Maitland.
If you already have your shirt, you may go directly to the staging area and look for #85.
Event Day Pickup: If you are picking up your shirt/bandana at the event, I will post in the comments (on the event link on Facebook) with my parking location once I arrive. I will remain in my car only until 9:45 AM, as I will need to walk to the staging area and cannot rush due to my leg.
Payment: You may pay on-site via Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, or cash. If you have already paid, please let me know or show your receipt when picking up your shirt.
What to Wear:
Participants: Parade t-shirt with jeans (required). Cowboy hats and/or boots are encouraged.
Dogs: Bandanas will be provided. If your dog has a cowboy hat and will tolerate it, feel free to bring it.
I am attaching the event map provided to me. The event map was provided to me. Please do not message me for directions, as I am not very familiar with DeLand and will likely be busy handing out shirts or searching for parking myself. I will most likely park closer to the beginning of the parade route (near Michigan), in one of the designated parking areas shown on the map below.
Parking Map: I am attaching a picture of all the parking space they have provided us.
Arrival Time: Everyone must be in the staging area no later than 10:00 AM.
Accessibility: Woodland Boulevard will have accessibility access on the west side of the road. Please refer to the event map for details.
Restrooms: Port-O-Lets will be available at Cummings Gym.
Parade Pace: Please walk at a relaxed pace, have fun, and enjoy the experience.
We will take a group photo at the end of the parade.
