Hi there! My name is Galaxy—although I answer to plenty of sweet nicknames! I’m a 1-year-old, 41-pound girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart.
My story started out a little rough. I found myself in a noisy, crowded shelter after being hit by a car and needing surgery on my leg. Thankfully, some wonderful humans rescued me and helped me heal.
These days, you would never know I had an injury—I run, play, zoom, and enjoy life to the fullest! I’m housebroken, crate trained, and I absolutely LOVE my crate. In fact, my foster family often leaves the door open, and I’ll happily put myself in there when I’m ready for a nap or some quiet time. It’s definitely my safe and cozy space.
I have also completed professional training with Laurent from Elite Pro Dog Training, and I’ve learned so much! I know heel, stop, sit, down, stay, come here, turn, go to bed, drop it, leave it, mount up, off, and crate. I’m a smart girl who has worked hard on my training and would love a family who will continue reinforcing everything I’ve learned.
One very important thing about me: I need another dog in my forever home. I truly thrive with canine companionship and love having a dog friend to play, interact, and spend time with. When playtime is over, though, I’m also perfectly happy doing my own thing for a while.
I’m an independent girl who doesn’t need constant attention, but come evening, you’ll usually find me curled up beside you for snuggles and quality couch time. I’d do best in a home without small children. I’m still a young Husky and can get mouthy when I’m excited, so older kids who understand appropriate dog manners would be a much better fit.
I do take my food and toys pretty seriously and prefer not to share them with other dogs, so my family will need to be mindful during mealtimes and when special toys or treats are around. Like many curious Huskies, I’ve also been known to investigate countertops in search of something delicious, so keeping tempting snacks safely out of reach will help keep me out of trouble!
And one thing you should definitely know about me: I have opinions—lots of them! I’m a very talkative Husky girl who loves having conversations with my people. Whether I’m telling you about my day, reminding you it’s dinner time, or simply singing the song of my people, I’ll always keep life entertaining.
