Fanny
Hi, I’m Fanny, and I’m six years young.
If I had to describe myself in one word? Fluffy. Okay, maybe fabulous too. But really—have you felt my fur? It’s like one of those fancy blankets humans fight over on the couch. People always say I hardly shed, and when they pet me, they never want to stop. I don’t blame them. I'm basically a cloud with four legs.
Life’s been good lately. I’ve got a comfy routine—breakfast (preferably with a little human food mixed in... just saying), a stroll outside, naps in the bathroom or on the couch, and my favorite: toy time. I have a whole box of toys. Yes, a box. I take one out, chew it for a while, then go back and pick another. What can I say? I enjoy variety.
I’m fully housebroken, crate trained, and leash trained. I even go into my crate by myself when I want alone time—just leave the door open, please. But I will admit, when my person leaves and closes the door, I do bark for a little bit. I just miss them. But I settle down quickly. And oh, when they come home and let me out? Get ready for full-on zoomies. I go from zero to happy in three seconds flat.
I’m pretty chill, especially in the mornings. Honestly, if you like to sleep in, we’re already a perfect match. I'm not one of those crack-of-dawn types. Let’s cuddle up and enjoy a slow start to the day. Well, maybe not cuddle—I’m not super into that. But I do love being hugged, and I give the daintiest little kisses. Just one. Maybe two. I keep it classy.
I’m good with other dogs and kids too, and I don’t have that whole prey-drive thing. The other day, a group of sandhill cranes were squawking their heads off in the yard. I gave them a look, decided they weren’t worth the effort, and turned right around. Let the birds do their thing—I’m more interested in inspecting packages. Seriously, every time one comes through the door, I do zoomies straight to it. You never know when a new toy or treat might be in there. A girl has to check.
I’m learning to walk nicely on the left side, and I already know how to sit and give my paw. "Stay" is still a work in progress, especially if food is involved. What can I say? I’ve got priorities. And if I want something—like a snack—you’ll definitely hear me bark for it. I'm not shy about my needs.
I don’t need a lot. Some soft places to nap, some toys to chew, meals (with a gourmet twist, if possible), and someone to love me for exactly who I am. I think I’d do really well with a calm home—maybe an older couple who appreciates the simple things in life, like a dog who brings joy without chaos.
I’m spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on all my vaccines, and ready to fill your life with just the right amount of fluff, fun, and Fanny.
