Shorty

Hi there! My name is Shorty, and I’m a charming 3-year-old, 43-pound Husky with a striking piebald copper-and-white coat that makes me one handsome boy. But trust me—there’s so much more to me than just my good looks!

I’m a playful, friendly guy who absolutely loves being around people and other dogs. I’d be happiest in a home with a doggie companion to hang out and play with. I form strong bonds with my humans and will follow you from room to room, just to be near you. I’m also a total cuddle bug—snuggling up after a fun day is my favorite way to unwind.

I’m doing really well with house training—about 90% there! I’ll usually let you know when I need to go outside, though I can still have little accidents if I get overly excited. I’m also learning leash manners and doing my best to improve every day.

When it comes to food, I eat fast—so a slow feeder helps me pace myself. I’m not food aggressive at all, but I will try to sneak a bite of another dog’s food if I can, so I do best when I’m fed separately. I don’t go into the crate on my own just yet—unless it’s mealtime! I’ll go in happily to eat, but otherwise, I’ll bark and whine a bit until you leave the room. After that, I settle in.

I’m neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all my vaccines. I’m ready for my forever family—a place where I can keep learning, get all the love I crave, and share all the loyalty and joy I have to give.

If you're looking for a sweet, silly, loyal best friend, I think we might be meant for each other.
